This past week was full of patterns! I'm hoping students are coming home talking about movement, color, sound, shape and AB patterns. We also hit the letter Ss and got our teacher station rolling during language arts stations. Students learned about squirrels. Yes, my favorite animal, but also a fall animal that starts with the letter Ss!
On top of all of that, we learned about APPLES! We made applesauce, had apple taste testing, and made apple stamps to learn about fall colors. Students made great journal entries about the life cycle of the apple, and some were shocked to find out an apple seed doesn't grow and apple...it grows a tree!
During our last park trip until November (CRAZY!) we ventured all the way to the playground at Forest Hill. We had some tumbles and some groans about the long walk, but we all agreed that it was worth it in the end.
Next week is the last official week of the 9 weeks, so let's make it a strong one!
Love,
Miss George
