The past two weeks were filled with pattern work, letter studies, baby animals, and plant needs.
In Language Arts, we mashed the letter R and syllables by playing a "R"ocket syllable matching game. We also read "The Kindness Quilt" to study the letter Q, and made a kindness quilt of our own. We also read "Rainbow Fish" and made letter T apple trees with paint. Stations were full of new games, thanks to the parents who helped me with cutting and prepping them for the kiddos.
Patterns galore in math! We learned about types of patterns (AB, AAB, ABB, ABC). We made pattern bracelets, pattern snakes, and sponge painted patterns.
Science focused on needs of plants and needs of animals. We made trees and discussed what kinds of animals can hatch out of eggs (more than just chickens!).
What an exciting 9 weeks we have had! Looking forward to the next quarter!
