However, Mrs. Darby was our substitute and the kiddos really liked her! She is a former teacher (and one of my favorites!). She taught them about rhyming words, finished up sorting, and spoke about globes and maps while I was pulling students to test.
I did get my class back long enough to take them to the park and find two more golden acorns! We saw toads and skinks galore, as the ground was wet and the air was warm.
We also had a wonderful time at Maymont for our field trip! I was sad that my class was the one split in half for the class, but I appreciate the chaperones that went with the flow and helped make it work. You all made the day go so smoothly!
