In ELA, we focused on the letters k, j, p, and y. We made "pancakes", built a beanstalk that could hold a giant, and crafted some beautiful kings! We have also gotten much better at writing our names using lowercase letters! I can tell some of you are practicing at home!
Math was all about sorting. We read some great sorting books and discussed all the ways we can sort various objects. We even went outside to collect some nature object and sort! Afterwards, the teams switched tables and had to analyze how the other team sorted their objects. Turns out, the two teams sorted the same objects in very different ways!
Social Studies focused on maps and globes. We had fun making a map of the classroom and coloring the James RIver blue and the rest of Richmond green on our own maps! We even followed a map to find the golden acorns in the park this week. Thanks to Aiden's mom for coming on the trip with us! We had a blast.
Looking forward to another great week!
