The past two weeks we worked hard on our NAMES! Pre-k usually teaches them to write their names in all caps- UGH! So you'll see that we are working hard to get students to use proper cases when writing their first and last names. We are also getting creative with our letter work! We build letters with unifix cubes, playdough, and pieces of paper to review lowercase letter identification. We have also been doing some STEAM work with fairytales, starting with Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. Students were asked to use materials to re-build stools for each of the three bears- they LOVED it!
In math, we have been playing math games and really working hard on our number sense. Cards are a HUGE part of math games and a great way for kids to work on number ID, greater than/less than, and sportsmanship.
Our park trip was a hit (NO BEES!) and we loved all of the parents that showed up last week! Thank you all for your help in the park!
I can really tell this group of students is into learning. They come to school eager and leave school ready for more! I'm LOVING enriching their education!
All my love,
Miss George
